Step 1: Remove MacShiny from Mac

MacShiny may not have the app associated with it in Applications. However, we recommend you to inspect the list of installed applications and remove unknown or suspicious ones. Look for MacShiny or MacShiny.app.

  2. In the Finder sidebar, click Applications

  1. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS WONDERFUL COMPLETE AND NICELY EXPLAINED ARTICLE ON GETTING RID OF THE MACSHINY. WHT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! I WILL ATTEMPT TO DO IT NOW.. WHY AM I THE FIRST TO COMMENT? THIS WAS THE WORST NUISANCE ALMOST LIKE A VIRUS THAT I HVE EXPERIENCED ON MY MACBOOK. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED ND FINED AND THEN SUED, IN FCT I AM GOING TO CHECK CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS NEXT, I BET I FIBD ONE!!
