How Web Shield gets on your PC?

Web Shield, as mentioned above, is secretly installed along with free programs. Such method is called “bundled installation” or “freemium”. How it work? User downloads some small free utility from the web to perform certain task (download video, convert music or film for iPhone, etc.). During installation, this utility offers to install one or several additional programs with minimum information about them. This is done in such way, that users either think it is a part of initial installation or just do not pay attention to this step. In the issue, users get bunch of unnecessary or harmful toolbars, add-ons or programs like Web Shield installed in browsers or Windows.
