Browser Guardian is categorized as PUP (Unwanted Program), and it is browser add-on (BHO) for Internet Explorer and extension for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Browser Guardian advertises itself as security add-on for browsers to prevent you from visiting malicious websites. However it does the poor job protecting you and instead of this shows you ads, banners, deals on commercial sites. Windows XP:

  2. Control Panel.
  3. Then click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Find Browser Guardian.
  5. Click Uninstall.

  4. Find Browser Guardian and click Uninstall.

Windows 8/Windows 8.1:

  1. Open the Menu.
  2. Click Search.
  3. After that click Apps.
  4. Then Control Panel.
  5. Then as in Windows 7, click Uninstall a Program under Programs.
  6. Find Browser Guardian, select it and click Uninstall.

After that remove Browser Guardian from your browser.

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Push Alt + F.
  3. Click Tools.
  4. Choose Extensions.
  5. Find Browser Guardian.
  6. Click the trash can icon to remove it.
