What is StormWatch

StormWatch – is a delusive browser extension, created by Weather Protector LLC. Authors of this program claim, that StormWatch is helpful and warns you about incoming storm. But besides, it generates a lot of ads banners, targeted videos, pop-ups and so on. Clicking on this advertisements will redirect you to malicious websites, where you can download dangerous files or programs, so your computer may be infects by another malware. Adware like StormWatch, scans user’s browser activity and personal information, and after shares it on many resources. So not only your PC is under danger, your privacy and payment info aren’t safe too.

How is StormWatch installed on my PC?

StormWatch may be installed on your PC in different ways. It can be downloaded by clicking on the banner from unknown or shareware websites. Or it can be bundled with free and share software, so be careful while installing free programs from suspicious websites. Pay attention at every step of installation progress, unmark additional checkboxes with indeterminate programs. It is highly recommended to uninstall this adware from your PC.

How to remove StormWatch?

  1. Click the Start;
  2. Click Control Panel;
  3. Click Uninstall a program (if computer’s settings Viewed By: Category);
    Click Programs and Features (if computer’s settings Viewed By: Icons);
  4. Find programs possibly related to StormWatch;
  5. Click Uninstall;
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen or just wait.

Note: If you can’t find required program, sort programs by date in Control panel and search for last installed programs.
