What is Unico Browser

Unico Browser – is Chromium browser with built in adware. After installation it replaces Google Chrome browser and sets itself as default. It has pre-installed plugins or extensions (that are impossible to remove) that generate ads and pop-ups and slow down your browsing. Unico Browser can sometimes hijack your browser search and homepage settings, replacing them with third party values. It also creates numerous shortcuts on your desktop. Although, developers claim it is protection-oriented browser, it is classified as Potentially Unwanted Program. It is recommended to uninstall it. How is Unico Browser installed on my PC?

Unico Browser is often offered as free additional installation option. Programs like FastPlayerPro or MixMediaPlayers distribute Unico Browser in a bundle. During install process it says, that Unico Browser will be installed as default browser. After installation it creates numerous folders and installs almost as deep as Google Chrome. In some cases it corrupts Chrome and won’t let it run correctly.   3. Click Uninstall a program (if computer’s settings Viewed By: Category);
    Click Programs and Features (if computer’s settings Viewed By: Icons);
  4. Find programs possibly related to Unico Browser;
  5. Click Uninstall;
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen or just wait.

Note: If you can’t find required program, sort programs by date in Control panel and search for last installed programs.

  1. I downloaded and am running SpyHunter 4 at this very moment (while I type this) hoping that it will remove Unico from my laptop. Unico has made my computer run much slower and has cause many other problems that I can’t correct. (BTW I didn’t SpyHunter 4 would take so long to scan). If this fails do I have any other options to pursue either with you or do I need to have a savvy computer technician remove it from the root drive? Please advise. Thank you.
