Infected with Deep ransomware? Need to decrypt your files?

What is Deep ransomware

Deep or Scarab Deep is a cryptovirus that has become most active in July this year. After penetrating the PC, the virus encrypts user files of various formats, such as PDF files, office documents, video, audio, photos and others. After that, your files cannot be launched, since Deep adds an extension .deep to these files. For example, file flowers.png becomes flowers.png.deep, and docum.doc takes the form docum.doc.deep and so on. The virus creates the note HOW TO RECOVER ENCRYPTED FILES.TXT and copies it to all folders containing encrypted files. Here is this note:

Attackers explain what happened as a consequence of the system security problems on the user’s computer. Scammers require users to contact them to get a special utility for decrypting your files. In addition, developers are trying to manipulate the user, saying that the later the user pay the ransom, the more expensive it will be. The note lists the addresses of the attackers, as well as detailed instructions on how to buy bitcoins. Why bitcoins? The answer is very simple, this is the only way that scammers can avoid tracking and harassment by law enforcement. Attackers did not specify the price, but it can reach several hundred dollars. Remember that scammers will not give you anything, even if you do everything they require, so you do not have to pay in any way. Most likely, you will not be able to decrypt your files yourself, as virus excludes the possibility of restoring files or previous state of the operating system, by removing all backup files’ copies and erasing Windows recovery points.
